August 4

The long road home! It took us 12.5 hours, but my tiny travelers were so good. They watched lots of DVDs, read a few books, ate a few times, and slept very little. I'm thankful to have such good troopers. This was my longest solo drive to date and it wasn't bad at all.

I found a Cici's pizza, which is a favorite, so decided to stop there to let them burn some energy in the arcade.

Grayson was so excited to get home tonight!!

August 3

It's our last day in TN. We've had a great trip, but we need one more little adventure.

We decided we needed one more morning/afternoon at the lake. This little incident was not in that plan! While hooking the boat up, Dad ran over one of the carseats! Oops!! We raised the truck up and were able to slide the carseat out without causing any damage to it. Only a slight delay.

It appears Neylan still feels the same way about the lake!

Definitely not the best picture, but I love the way Neylan rode up and down the lake every time we started going fast. He asked Granddad multiple times to "drive swowly", but everyone else wanted to go faster than 3 mph!

The adventurous one!

Now, Neylan is comfortable

We spent some time at the playground before heading home

The butterflies were abundant today on the butterfly bushes

This afternoon we packed up and started our journey home. We only made it 3 hours down the road and stopped for one of my very best friend's baby showers. Kristi and I have been friends since college and it's so fun to have her living back in America, so we can see each other more than once a year.

Grayson wanted so badly to help Eli open his presents

Neylan tried really hard to play ping pong

We are spending the night with more family tonight and then will hit the road in the morning for KC!!

August 2

Tonight my family went out to celebrate Father's Day with my dad. We went to a really nice restaurant on the lake with a beautiful view (so wish I had taken a picture of that). Since it was a special occasion, we splurged on dessert- key lime pie. YUM!!

August 1

So, we are back in the swing of busyness today. We traveled about 45 minutes to see our friends from KS again. The kids had a great time playing together in the rocks, on the play set, and in the pool.

the bike wash

Tonight we went to visit another friend and her girls. The boys got to ride in power wheels for the first time. Boy, did they have a great time!

July 31

After all that we have done this week, we needed a lazy day. We did a little fishing,

a little potty training,

a little more fishing,

and then spent the evening with Uncle Dick and Grand Nan (and a bunch of other great people!)

July 30

Tonight we headed to a minor league baseball game.

Neylan made fast friends with the mascots, Diamond and Slugger

Grayson, on the other hand, is still scared to death of characters, and refused to get any closer

The game went into extra innings, so we were thankful for the fun things to do around the stadium

July 28

Happy Birthday boys!

It's never too late for a party! Since our families weren't able to be there for the boys' party in June, we threw another one! This really confused Grayson. He was convinced that he was turning 5 now. Mimi and Papa (Adam's parents) hosted and we got to see lots of friends.

Papa, the grill master

It certainly was not the polite way to eat a cupcake, but I guess, you can eat it however you like when it's your birthday! Shove the whole thing in, G!

They got lots of fun presents, like new sunglasses!

pirate stuff

and scooters and jackets for the fall!

These little ones sure are blessed!
